Egg Coloring

I love watching the kids color eggs.  It is always fun to see what they come up with.  This year the Armstrongs stopped by to help us.  We had these eggs colored in no time...

Bryce colored all his eggs green (no big surprise)

Then he wanted to eat one and before we could stop him he took a bite shell and all.

Jeremiah made some multi colored eggs

Carli used all the colors of the rainbow

Yep, they each did it different and all of the eggs were great!

Our Garden

We have decided to try planting a garden again.  We are hoping to get lots of yummy fruits and veggies from it.  We are trying the square foot garden method.  It requires some building of boxes but hopefully it will be worth our effort.

All Good Things Must Come to an End

The last few days of Spring Break were cold and wet.  We were suppose to stay at the Beach but at the last minute had to change our plans.  We ended up in Palm Springs... it was a little warmer.

Before we headed to Palm Springs we went with the Adventure Group to the Wild Animal Park.

Bryce had birds on his head and all over him.  He wasn't scared, like I thought he would be.  He LOVED it!

Carli enjoyed feeding the animals.


Then we were off to Palm Springs.....

were we swam in the heated pools

and went on safari in the living desert were Carli was our tour guide

yep Jeremiah and Carli were lucky enough to have a butterfly land on their finger

played in Gecko Gulch

after a long day at the living desert we visited G and G Robbins .  They prepared an excellent dinner and homemade pies!  We loved the pies!  Then it was time to make our way home... we stopped at the outlets and had Mexican for lunch and some cherry on top for dessert.  We made the best of a cloudy weekend.  And that is the end of Spring Break... we go back to reality on Monday.

So for Spring Break I am trying to keep the kids busy....

We made homemade doughnuts

Then we made sandcastles 

Mud Pies

and lots of holes

a day at the beach with the brothers and friends

to play jump the waves with

and tackle the tide

yep a little making and baking to enjoy our day

Knotts Berry Farm

We have taken the kids to most of the So Cal amusement parks at one time or another but had yet to visit Knotts.  The kids are on Spring Break so we thought we would hit it up.  It ended up being the perfect day to go.  There were no crowds or lines.  We rode everything in the park and even hit up a few rides more then once.  Bryce loved the log ride!  It was one of my favorite rides of the day too because it was one the whole family could ride together.  We talked Jeremiah into riding all the big coasters and I think he really enjoyed it.  His fav of the day was boomerang.  Carli was just a few inches shy of being able to ride the big coasters.... we did manage to sneak her on Big Foot Rapids and that was her favorite ride.

Jeremiah suffered through riding the merry go round for Bryce.

Bryce is my only kid who has ever like characters  and he was really into Snoopy!

Bryce was able to ride a few rides by himself at camp snoopy.  He was really proud of it.

Look close at Bryce and Calri in this photo they were so cute with their hands up and screaming... it was a crack up.  It was a great day for the family.  Filled with lots of laughs.
